Tia Xia

Tia Xia is a multidisciplinary artist born in Southwest China and based in Los Angeles. Working across painting, drawing, installation, and printmaking, her practice is shaped by cross-cultural exchange, her upbringing environment, and a background in mass media. Through abstraction and relational projects, she investigates the subtle intricacies of the human condition, using nature as both metaphor and experiential framework.

Grounded in embodied encounters with internal and external landscapes, Xia's work explores the philosophy of art, Jungian psychology, and states of becoming. She translates metaphysical reflections into visual inquiries, creating perceptual spaces that are simultaneously intellectual and intuitive, where spiritual resonance and material presence coexist.
